It was HOT HOT HOT, but we had fun. Mat bought Kenron a set of airplanes, and he loves to play with them and talks about "Daddy's work".

Grammie came to visit

Grammie Cross came to visit us in mid June. We had lots of fun playing puzzles, watching toy story 2, eating good food, doing puzzles, drinking coffee, visiting and lots more puzzles
Kenron called her "Gwammie" it was so cute. We actually got to hang out with Grammie a little longer than planned....
The morning she was supposed to leave was the weirdest rain downpour we've EVER HAD. (This is Mat trimming the tree between down pours.)

Our internet was out, our Dish wasn't coming in, and all we could hear on the radio was that people were parked on the highways we were supposed to be driving on for hours, and there was intersections underwater - there was a "water rescue" a few streets away from us. I had no idea what was going on. This is some of what we saw when we finally got the tv signal coming in! Our entire back yard had been underwater, so a couple days later I ventured out to clean up the mud - the boys were more than happy to play while I shoveled the mud up off the pathways. Axel's onsie he wore was totally ruined. Oklahoma dirt is weird. We were able to bring Grammie to meet Trisha half way later that night. We had a really fun time getting to visit with her and we cant wait to see her and Bucca in October when they come back!

May actually started with me having my gallbladder taken out
This was a joyous event for two reasons: My gallbladder is what (the dr thinks) causes my itchy skin when I'm pregnant, so hopefully that wont be an issue the next time I'm pregnant.
And the second is I got to have a week where I got to sit in bed and do nothing because Mat was super dad and took care of all of us! Grancie Jean came the first night to lend an extra hand.
Kenron has been cracking us up. He's also infuriating at times because we have certainly entered "the terrible twos". But really its only when he's extra tired, hungry or both. And frankly wouldnt we all like to throw a fit when your hungry and things aren't going our way?
Kenron has what can only be described as "Puzzle Mania". This child could play puzzles (or just one puzzle) for hours a day.
So when I found these puzzles at a yard sale I scooped them up - for 25 cents each!! I was tired of doing the same puzzle for hours a day :)

Kenron has been using his imagination lately. This is his ruler/flute. He's also been adding the plural to things: Where the carses is? = Where are my cars? Where the bookses is? etc. He's pretty funny.

I am behind. This month has been pretty nuts.
I'd like to blame it on exibit: A
I'd like to blame it on the fact that he started crawling last month. But honestly that made things easier, so I took on more projects - like painting the kitchen, which ended up taking over a month from start to finish because Axel and Kenron got ear infections, and Axel's came back again. So between teething and ear infections - Axel needed lots of mommy time.
But most of the time now he is perfectly content crawling around on the floor. In a matter of days he figured out how to crawl off the carpet. Then into the kitchen and back. Then all the way into our bedroom on the other side of the house. There is no where you can hide from the Axel man.
He wore this outfit for jammies for a few weeks. My dad bought this for him at Christmas. He is definately busting out of it now. This kid is currently 23 lbs and 29.5" - He is in the 90% for everything (head, weight, height).
He also wants to play with whatever Kenron is playing with. I think its a combo of "That's where Kenron is and since I love him I want to be right next to him/ What is he paying attention to? It must be cool enough for me to chew on it..."

He is pulling up on EVERYTHING

Axel is still such a happy baby. Its contagious. We are loving watching him grow - at warp speed - and manuver through life as a crawling baby. Kenron is the best older brother - He is a great helper, always finding a passy, or grabbing a diaper for us. He's always very conscious of where Axel is, and if he's crying. This picture is from yesterday: I was feeding Axel and when I got up to check on the macaroni I was making, I came back to find Kenron picked up where I left off.
I'm enjoying every second that they are so loving to each other, because I'm sure that will wear off sooner than I'd like. I really do hate how fast its flying by, so I'm trying to slow down and enjoy it all while I can. We love you Axel! I can't believe your going to be 9 months old next week.

You may find this hard to believe, but this kid is a great eater! He easily eats two big baby jars of food for lunch and dinner and is still nursing 4-5 times a day.
He thinks Kenron hung the moon and thinks he is hysterically funny. They really love each other A LOT. Axel is a mover and a shaker! He is SUCH a wiggle worm. He can get up on his hands and knees but not crawling yet. He can get where he wants to by rolling, scooting and reaching. He is one SUPER strong baby, and loves to be standing up!
He still earns his nickname Sir-poops-a-lot often, but since starting solids things seem to be less "explosive" in the pants department :)
And last but not least the side by side of the two brothers. Kenron @24 months and Axel @7 months - He is one BIG baby.

I will not cry about this. But I have to admit it pinches my heart pretty bad to see Kenron growing up so fast.
I feel like he's growing in warp speed since Axel joined us. Like I cant catch every cute moment in my brain fast enough. Then I turn around and Axel is this big scooting rolling baby.. when did that happen?
Thank you God for cameras. Because I know my brain will certainly fail me, but its so good to have pictures to fill in, and remind me how much I love, adore, and cherish these kids.

Axel is 19 lbs 10 oz. and 27" tall. Dr says his head is in the 83% weight is in the 84% and 75% height. He's doing great. Eating cereal, and we are starting all sorts of good veggies and fruit. Dr was impressed with his ability to sit up and even "counterbalance" hehe. He's a good, happy, healthy baby.

This is Kenron and Axel at 6 months old. Isn't it nuts that they are in the same position?

And if you had any doubt that this kid is a "Cross" baby - this should cure it. This is my sister Shannon and Axel at 6 months old.

We bought tickets last minute to take Kenron to see Elmo, and Bee Bird, and Abby, and Cookie, and Burp and Eyr-ner (Burt and Earnie) etc...

He had no idea what was coming...

He just stared mezmorized - Mat at I were cracking up everytime we looked at him. He was really good and stayed in our laps the whole time.

At the end he perked up and was pointing out the characters, and then waving goodbye to everyone - So cute!
We had a great time and we're excited to take Axel someday!

I bought this toy over 6 months ago, and I would wager that Kenron has played with it at least once every day. I'm secretly proud of myself because it was one of those toys that I bought thinking, "you know I bet he would really love this" and I was RIGHT! My motherly instinct did not fail me that day...
With this toy he has learned: Open and Close, Up and Down, counting...
This is the reason he called ya-ya "Shut the Door" for a little while, because they played the counting cars game A LOT!

AND he can even predict the trailer for Die Hard 5...

I got this beauty for Ten whole dollars! The previous owner had adorned the burners with happy faces and colored on the knobs but with a little elbow grease it was as good as new. It was also missing the "sink" but one of the bowls from my cabinets was a perfect fit.

And this was screaming to find a place in our house. I cant wait to figure out where.

These were some fun finds...

We spent the rest of the day in the kitchen playing. I was completely living vicariously through Kenron. I always wanted a kitchen when I was younger and now I get to enjoy it with my kiddos.

Next time your over you'll have to try some of his baked chocolate milk and tomatos, they are to die for.

To those of you who gave Kenron and Axel money for christmas, this is what Santa brought them for you:

Axel and I went outside to check out what the guys were doing.

We found a super stong kid, pulling his own weight, lifting the slide...

And a daddy who wanted to make sure everything was in the right place...

and as he attached the slide, things got a little hairy and..

Kenron fell backwards off the slide. There were only a couple tears.

Then he was happy again.

Axel is 5 months old??!?!

I literally choked on those words last night after we took the picture.

I said "Axel you're 5, 5? 5! 5 months old?" yikes. Mat looked at me like I had been living under a rock. I think he was half afraid I was going to have a melt down or say ok I'm ready for another one!!
I recovered quickly.

Axel seems to be checking off his milestones list quickly this month.
He can now:
Push up from the floor and lift his head high
roll over from back to tummy (right side only)
AND roll back over to back (right side only)

He's been sleeping 11 hours at night still and has started taking a longer nap while Kenron takes his nap which illicits frequent thoughts of Mel Gibson yelling "FREEDOM" and the chorus from this song:

I got to sit down for 1.5 hours uninterupted for the first time in 5 months on friday. I spent it catching up on my soap -

its a glamorous life I lead.

For some reason, its hard for me to talk about Kenron turning two in two months. So before I get there and its a huge gush/pride/cry fest I will update you on all the things Kenron has been doing lately....
He has a new facination for hats. Which is funny to me because around Christmas it was almost impossible to keep his hat on. He likes to put them on himself and he is quite good at it.
Kenron says lots and lots and lots of things. So instead of telling you all of them I'll tell you some of our favorites:
"Me-mama" - mommy
"Ah-Ard-Jew?" - Where are you?
"Bebe" - Axel
"Now-AH" - uncle Noah
"Pee-ZAH!" pizza
"uh trouble?" - mimicing me saying what's the trouble? to Axel
"Bites" - Bikes
"tinn-EE" - Candy

He has really started to say most of his words correctly. For a while he was getting his T's and C's mixed up - Toot=Cute Towboy=cowboy, it was terribly cute.

And up untill recently he has been calling the baby swing "bebe fwing" now he says swing but he says it like this:

He is size 18-24mo. and size 5.5 shoes. We think he is about 23 lbs (Axel is 17+) He still sleeps through the night 9ish to 7:30, and takes about a 2 hour nap. Kenron makes us laugh everyday. He does well if we ignore his fits and he rarely gets a spanking for doing a "no-no". He does best if we just move him away from the no-no or whatever is causing the fit. He's starting to get the concept of sharing, but its not his favorite.

He has really been enjoying helping me cook dinner for daddy. He pulls the chair upto the counter himself and can climb up alone. He knows not to touch the stove top and likes to stir and shake in any ingredients.

He is a great helper actually. He still likes to throw away diapers for us, and get the baby's paci and give it to him.
His favorite shows are:
#1 Mickey Mouse
#2 Elmo (sesame street)
#3 Curious George
#4 Thomas the tank engine

Favorite foods are:
Cookies (fig newtons, rice cakes, actual cookies)
Bread, toast, noodles,
Pizza

Kenron has been going to childcare with Axel when I exercise for an hour MWF and is doing wonderful. He also loves to go to church. We talk about it sunday morning and he gets so excited, and when we pull into the parking lot he exclaims CHURCH!! A couple sundays ago, Mat had gone to pick up Kenron and when they came back into the auditorium he saw me and ran across too me. I said Hey buddy did you go to class and learn about baby jesus?? and his face lit up and he said "CRACKERS!!" - gotta love snack time.

Well we have a big ole' baby. (look at the difference in those legs!)

Axel measured today:
17 pounds! (90%)
25.5 inches (75%)
and his head measured in the 75th percentile.

Kenron at 4 months was 13 lbs 12oz. and 24.5 inches, and his head was in the 50th percentile.

Our Dr said he looked great! He can start having some cereal whenever I feel like it. Axel slept in his crib last night for the first time. He had been sleeping in a cradle in our room, but he was starting to get too big for it. He is still sleeping 11 hours at night (Thank you Lord) and is a VERY happy and content baby.

Kenron of course loves his brother. Axel laughs and coos at Kenron the most. They have quite to the love affair going on. Although yesterday was the first time Kenron had to get a spanking because he clocked Axel in the head with two very hard balls when I wasnt in the room. I think it was innocent, and the spanking was because he refused to say sorry. :)

Its quite an adventure with these two boys but I'm loving it. It goes by too fast. I'm trying to soak in all in as much as I can, and have my camera ready for when my memory will fail me.

Mat thought up this one all on his own. I LOVE this present. No one should love an appliance this much. Its a single cup coffee maker.

Why do I love it so much? Because it allows me to have a few minutes of "me time" each morning with very little effort. It takes me longer to toast my english muffin than to brew this coffee.As a mother of two small children I love that I can sit down, check my email, facebook, or whatever and enjoy a cup of coffee for a few minutes by myself. Coffee drinking is really more of an event than a beverage after all.

Thanks birdie, this is my favorite gift.

But this one is a close second...

I have had that huge gaudy antique mirror in the middle for a few years now, and I loved it. It really didn't go with anything of mine, but I knew someday I could make it work. Then I was reading Liz's blog and got this idea to just add MORE mirrors!

So when I was home, my brother joined my mom and I as we made our usual trip to the antique store and I was instantly inspired to make my idea a reality...

I'm pretty satisfied with this side of the bunch.

This side needs some larger mirrors, but I was too excited about it all so I put them all up and decided to call it "a work in progress". I cant wait to add more antique mirrors. These are a mix of real antiques and Hobby Lobby.

I held back a gasp when I found this set of gold maple leafs stuck in a wooden bucket on the floor. It said they were used on a sugar house to sell maple sugar. Those of you who know my love of maple leafs would have jumped up and down and squeeled with me. But since I was alone in the isle I grabbed them up and tried to keep my heart from bursting out of my chest.

This was actually the first mirror I found. It was actually quite comical because I had JUST said to my brother "I'm looking for any sort of gaudy gold framed mirrors to put on my wall" and I turned around and looked deeper into one of the booths and found it. Justin and I laughed that I should have told him sooner, or maybe say I'm looking for a million dollars?? but I digress...

The mirror in the upper left was actually a very dark brown, and I took a little gold paint and dry brushed it over the whole frame. I have to admit half way through I had a panic attack wondering if I was just painting over a priceless antique and ruined the value. It happens on Antiques roadshow all the time. But at that point I was committed so I finished the project, and I love how it turned out.

Those of us who know Mat... well enough said. He, Noah and David had a grand time playing together on their computers.

I want you to know Ron informed me over the phone he doesnt offer to change diapers... however, I found this scene as I rounded the corner one day. I almost fell over dead. What a Pepere! He didnt even have to ask where diapers or wipes were - he just took the initiative and took one for the team!

Axel had some pretty great naps while we were gone, but this one was the best :)

We had a great time at the Tremblay man cave. All the guys were never bored, we ate well, and I got to have some wonderful relaxing days. AND *drum roll please* I didn't have to clean the toilets this time. Yes thank you Tremblay men for hosting us for the New Year, we can't wait to see you in February.

Kenron has aquired and shared a cold with Axel and me. We are now pretty much over it, and we are smiling again. But we haven't recovered completely yet to clean our shirts or the snacks stuck in our boogies :)

This is the latest I've ever put up my tree, and it's not even done. I cant seem to catch up since Thanksgiving. I have this little "Christmas Corner" that feels kind of pitiful..

I feel like I'm bursting with energy to really dig in and make this house "Ours" and yet it seems like its in a constant state of chaos lately..

And have I mentioned Axel cries.. A LOT. SO I dont get to do all the things I would like. Somedays things get done with a crying baby in the background. Somedays having two little kids really kicks my butt.

Then this sweet face shows up and things arent so bad.
Axel and I haven't quite found our groove yet, but I'm so happy he is here I get choked up just thinking about life without him. He has truly filled a very empty spot in my heart that has been aching for another little boy. I cant tell you how lovely it is to have a baby boy this time of year to hold in my arms, when three years ago I was dying to hold my first son who was too far away in the NICU.

So even though I may not feel so comfortable in my body at the moment, or the clutter of my house is making my hair stand on its end... I can take comfort in the joy that I dont get to take any of these things to heaven. Honestly the only things I get to take to heaven with me are my boys, and isnt that really the only thing that matters?
~ remind me of this tomorrow when they are both screaming and I'm opening up my own Ebay account to see how much two fussy boys go for these days :)

Hope your holidays are joyful and remember to slow down and enjoy the little things, because it all goes by too fast.

Axel's FIRST THANKSGIVING - I'm not sure he was very impressed.

Kenron liked his dinner.

And he liked playing on Mac's chair. He would say "Up-ah There!"

But he loved playing with "Carter" (Claire) more...

Ivy was so good at holding Axel.

Kenron joined in on the tradition of bowling but was more interested in the arcade games behind us.

The little carousel was the BEST!

He played "Marbles" at Mac and Pa's, who he kept calling "Beesie Pa's" He would call Mac, Mac and Pa - Pa, but when we were driving to their house and we were talking about Mac and Pa's he kept singing "Beesie Pa's, Beesie Pa's" hehe too cute.

and OF COURSE Pa worked his magic on Axel-rooney.

I had a REALLY good time, and the boys were awesome on each 8 hour trip! Thank you God for a wonderful and relaxing time with our family.

yikes, we aren't going to talk about how fast my baby is growing up. So instead we'll talk about what a huge baby he is...

At his appt monday we found out he is 13lbs 14oz (one full diaper away from 14 lbs!) and 23 1/4" - Kenron was 11.5 lbs and 23".

Kenron is still loving his brother - He is really proud to show him off to strangers in the store and people at church...

We haven't mastered "holding" the baby yet :)

Kenron has been a little Parrot lately, repeating the things we say - Here he is saying "oops, oops" then he says "Its overflowing! Its Over flowing" (sounds like "going, going") Then he finds his star, and starts to sing his version of twinkle twinkle which sounds like "up-ah star, up-ah star"

He has been getting more emotional about things. If he's happy he's REALLY happy, and if he's annoyed he's REALLY annoyed, and when he's excited he's REALLY excited. This video is him watching the previews before Curious George - I bet you'll know exactly when George shows up :)

Kenron has been willing to help me a lot lately. So I let him help me make the cornbread for small group on sunday. I'm sure food network will be calling anyday now :)

Ok so a few years ago when my college friends threw me a bridal shower I got recipes from them, and I requested a specific cookie recipe from my friend Sunny.

To my delight she was more than gracious enough to share it with me. The secret is one of the ingredients is a package of instant pudding.

Now if you looked in the baking isle lately you will see that Jello has a "seasonal pumpkin spice" pudding out at the moment. When I saw this I was INSTANTLY inspired to make some cookies.

SO, I tried it out - using the pudding, adding pumpkin puree, a few more spices, and replacing butterscotch chips for some of the chocolate chips...

And Holy smokes are they GOOD!! - So good infact that I decided to share them for a bake sale our friends from church were having.

I got little baggies and tags and put it all together..

We had fun at our church's "Knock Knock Night", it was Kenron's first time trick or treating, and he really didnt know what to think. He wasnt really scared, but he wasn't totally excited. It was almost like you could see him thinking "Ok what's the catch, you cant just be giving this candy to me for no reason" hehe

We also had (no exageration)15+ people ask us where Jack Sparrow was. Most of them were ladies :) I mean I cant blame them - he looked GOOD last year.

Grammie and Bucca came to visit and we went out to Cracker Barrel to celebrate the twins birthday with Grancie and Grandy.
On friday night Axel and I went to his first scrapbooking night and he was an angel. He slept the whole time in his carseat and only fussed to eat...
But 8 o'clock came WAYYY too early the next morning :) hehehe

We had Baby Dedication sunday that same weekend and we went out to eat at Earls afterwards with Grancie and Grandy, and Tara and Jeremy. It was a fun, and crazy weekend!

Kenron is in love with his "Bee-Bee" He loves to hold him (for two seconds) and kiss him and play with his fingers..

This kid has awesome hair. We are in love with it.

Kenron was such a baldy, I thought I was just destined to have hairless babies, but Axel has lots of hair, and its even curly on the top!

He is also a champion burper and pooper. So much so that wednesday night he projectile vomited, and pooped through two outfits.. so he ended up in just a blanket. But he was still so cute I had to take a picture :)

I can tell Mat and I are MUCH more relaxed the second time around. I dont worry over the little things and Mat is more confident in all things baby - changing diapers, soothing a fussy one, and getting out the burps. Its nice. Axel has even slept 6 hours at night for the past two nights.. of course I have now jinxed it by telling all the internet world, but either way God has been gracious to us in our parenting, and Axel couldn't be more of a blessing.

Happy Birthday guys.. Three years ago.. WOW.
It seems like forever, yet I remember it so vividly sometimes it's hard to catch my breath.

I wanted to post these fun pics... when you were both alive together. Part of me wanted to keep you like this forever. But that wasnt God's plan, and boy we had no idea what he had instore for us over the next two months.

Even though you are both in heaven now waiting for us, I think of you everyday.
I see you Isaac in Kenron. In his grey/brown eyes and light hair. You both looked like your uncle Bub when you came out.
And the first time I got to hold Axel I was instantly reminded of you David. He has your chubby cheeks, and dark hair.

Ok so I'm tired of whining about these last few days of being pregnant so I'm taking my own advice I gave the other day and I'm writting down things to be thankful for so I can remember all the good things and blessings I have in my life, here goes nothing:

Dancing with the Stars in coming back on in a few days
Kenron has been wonderfully sweet to be around lately
These are my last few days with K as my only child - enjoy them
I am able to complete my "To Do" list before Axel comes
I love the name Axel
I love that fall is coming...sweaters, crisp air, playing outside, apples, pumpkin flavored everything... ahhhhhh glory days.
I have a huge rug coming in a few days for our living room
Mat bought us a new camera for Axel coming!
We have a new house to bring out baby home to
My Parents are coming in just a few days for a long visit.
Shea is going to Dallas so I can see her soon
I can still sleep through the night.
I have my baby shower on Saturday
Which means I can SPEND MONEY/GO SHOPPING for baby stuff :)
I weigh less than I ever have being pregnant.
Mat are so in love right now, and its beyond wonderful.
Did I mention fall is coming? which means WINTER IS COMING TOO
We are GOING TO NEW ENGLAND FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
I cant wait to introduce Axel to our family. especially Mat's family.
I have wondeful friends who are throwing me a shower, even though its my second baby, and ANOTHER boy.
I painted in Axels room and it looks AWESOME.
I dont feel like God isnt listening to me anymore.
21 days from now it will be my last day with itchy skin.
Kenron is walking and talking and it makes it easy to imagine another baby in our lives.
I love my little family and i cant wait to be a family of 4. Especially with Mat.

Ok that was some good therapy. I needed that, and I hope it reminds you of all the good things in your life. I cant promise I wont have weak moments in the next few days.. I am pregnant and hormonal after all.. but I WILL promise to think of and reflect on these good blessings in my life. have a wonderful week.

Kenron was having an "off day" on monday. No doubt recovering from a rough weekend when we figured out that he is probably allergic to Penicillin like his daddy. BUT we decided to go to our play date with Pam and Conner and it took him a little while to warm up to all the new things.. but he did, and was even having a GRAND time when all of a sudden he decided to try and go down one little step forward instead of turning around and backing down the step. I dont blame him - the step couldnt have been higher than 4" but his little shoe didnt clear the step and gravity and momentum took over - he fell forehead first onto a brick patio....

He made a quick recovery after some mommy snuggles and lunch. funny thing is after that happened and he had a nice nap the good old Kenron was back! The regular sweet Kenron had disapeared for about a month. He had 8 teeth coming in at the same time, and with Mat working crazy overtime; the days were pretty bleak at the tremblay house. It is beyond words how lovley it is to have my sweet Kenny roo back.

Happy Birthday to Me.. I'm 27. I dont know exactly how I feel about it. I mean I dont feel old. But I guess I feel sort of introspective.. like time is flying by, and I wonder "am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing with my life?" Right now, today, I feel like I am. But I am always doublechecking, God has a better plan than me - I'd rather be on his path than the one I "think" I should be on.. terrifying as it may be.

We got to go away for the night - FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE K WAS BORN - by ourselves for our 5 yr. Anniversary. Thank you Grancie and Grandy. We stayed at a B&B in town and got to sleep in.. it was glorious.

With my birthday money I got to go to Hobby Lobby and spend it! I added some lovely things to my bookshelf display...

and Saturday Mat and I got to go antiquing while K was still with G&G and I found this TREASURE!! I filled it with some little frames from Hobby Lobby and some of my tiny treasures and I'm thrilled with the possibilities that this drawer can hold and display!

On another fun note - we pulled out all of Kenron's newborn clothes and went through them to see what we can use for Axel, and get ready to shop the JBF sale in OKC.

Kenron liked "helping" us separate all the goodies.

Wednesday Ron and Noah came to see us in Maine. This was the .5 day of sunshine. When they first got to the house Kenron went crazy over noah! I really believe that he remembered Noah because he kept going over to him and giving him hugs, and Kenron doesnt do that to ANYONE, not even me or Mat. It was so cute, my heart was melting.
We went to the beach and Noah was supposed to just put his toes in.. but pretty much got soaked.. We had fun watching him try to not get wet :)
Ron took him on lots of walks along the beach and was baffled that kenron kept throwing away the good shells they found and only wanted to keep the rocks. I just laughed because Kenron is obsessed with rocks right now.
Ron bought us some pizza on the Pier after we went shopping for "Chocolates" at this cute candy shop.
He also gave Kenron his first taste of cotton candy. Kenron wasnt too sure about it :)

It was so good to see a part of the Tremblay clan. I was so bummed it didnt work out for K and I to go down to Mass. and see everyone else, but the timing just didnt work for this trip. Next time we go we will have Axel to introduce to all of them!

Here I am at 19 weeks pregnant. Yikes this is the ONLY belly picture I've taken so far.. and I haven't even had a shower ;) BUT I was not going to wait any longer.

Here he is! These were taken last week. He is looking towards your left, and you can see his little hands up under his chin. Also you can see the umbilical cord

He is measuring bigger than my due date. So hopefully the end of Sept. will be a likely birthday for him. This one he has his fists covering his mouth.

I'm feeling great. FINALLY. I am looking forward to this summer, lots of things planned: a visit from Josh and Tiffany, going to New England, Grammie and Trish coming, Hopefully a visit or two with Shea. I'm also planning on buying a season pass to the waterpark by our house so K and I can cool off during the day. Before I know it I will be a mom of TWO! yikes.

this is 10 months

This is 11 months.. I couldnt get him to straighten out his legs so you cant see how much taller he is. He really has grown a lot.

Kenron is such a ham lately. He has this funny cheesy smile he does sometimes and he has the best laugh. He has all front 8 teeth now and is currently working on some more...

Kenron has always focused on the details or the little things.. since he was born. He sat here for about 20 minutes playing with a little piece of paper. He is REALLY into anything with buttons he can push. And if anything resembles a button he tries to push it. He is also very meticulous lately. In our new house we have lots and lots of cabinets that dont have child locks on them, (yet) and he really likes to open one and put a toy in, and close it. Then take the toy out and put another toy in and close it. If the toy is too big and the door wont close, he may try a few more times to make it fit, or he will go back to the other toy he knows will fit, and then move on to the next toy. You can see him do it with the moving box and the purple toy in the video...

This video is really long, in the begining Mat is yelling from the bathroom "Your mother took all the doors off so I can't poop with the door closed.." (the door was off because we were paining in the bathroom) you cant hear it but you hear me talking to him - just so your not confused. However Kenron does say da-da, ya-ya, crawls, and is pretty cute.

He is crawling REALLY fast and will take a step or two but he's not walking yet. I think because he can crawl so fast he doesnt care about walking. He did just start dancing and Mat and I cant get enough! He cracks us up!

He is babbling like he's having a conversation using all kinds of sounds. He only is saying a couple words at the moment its Da=Da Ya-Ya and he "Woofs" like a dog, and I think he is saying Uh-OH. He actually is imitating sounds A LOT. He imitates the phone ringing, and the dogs barking, and people singing on the tv. He was imitating Melanie at the store last week. She was saying "OH! I love the flowers, OH! look at those, Ohh I like these..." and he kept saying "Aaaooohhh" like she was :) it was pretty cute. He likes to "sing" its a prety cute.

He also has been pretty snuggly/a little grumpy after his afternoon nap, so this is a typical Kenron around 4ish.. chillin with a snack and his drink. He can hold his sippy cup now all by himself, and he can drink out of a straw sippy cup!

Triumph and Tragedy

The Tragedy: the nail on my right "pointer" finger broke completely off...

now all my nails are back to their normal state of mediocre. Don't worry, pregnancy gives my nails the strength to grow long and strong.. have no fear.. they will be back!

Here's our little peanut...

We saw their little heart beating, everything looks great.

We still dont really have an official due date, last time we were there the baby measured a week and a half smaller than we thought. But this time it measured only a week smaller. So we'll see. It still should be the end of Sept. or the very begining of October.

I forgot how stinking long an appointment can be.. oiy! we were there 2 hours! good thing I like them so much :)

Last month...

Kenron is now doing all kinds of things...
He plays Peek-a-boo now without any help
He can do "SO BIG"
He has aquired his mommy's love of TV.. oiy

He has been jabbering a LOT, just like he's having a conversation, inflections and all, but we have no idea what he is saying.
He can stand on his own without holding on to anything.
I think He will be walking soon...

He's not crazy about getting his diaper changed so its more like wrestling.. and here is a picture of one of those moments..

Kenron has been taking AWESOME naps.. and its all because I started feeding him more. Yikes, I feel bad about this one. I started offering him food more often and he really does eat alot, and he sleeps much better now too. sorry buddy, mommy's still learning all this stuff..

He's so cute. Everyday he finds more and more ways to bring us joy. Mat and I are always cracking up at the things he does. Kenron your such a good baby, I love you too much.

Ok lets see what is Kenron upto lately..
Well he can army crawl REALLY fast.
He can now crawl on his hands and knees, but reverts back to the army crawl if he wants to get there in a hurry.
He also started doing this halarious thing when he crawls on the tile...He crawls on hands and feet.. its so goofy looking, and its only on tile.

He is pulling up on EVERYTHING: the garbage, your pants, the gate, the office desk, chairs, his toys, etc. and he's quick too!
Everyone who sees him says,"He'll be walking before you know it" I believe it.

Kenron and Mat have continued their love affair :)
Kenron just adores Mat. Kenron is finally big enough that Mat is able to get down and wrestle and play with Kenron and its so cute it hurts. When Mat walks through the door his whole face lights up and he starts jumping! (ok bouncing..)

Kenron LOVES apple juice, and Ravioli (hence the ravioli face in the 9 mo. pic) He is still such a happy baby. I cant believe it sometimes.
Kenron also got a new President this month. He welcomed him with a wave. Its been a busy month, its flown by. I cant believe its almost February. 3 more months and he will be one year old. Yikes time flies.

8 months..

7 months...

Kenron is crawling around like crazy. Its not the official up on knees and hands, but he's just as efficient on his forearms and toes :)

He officially pulled up on the couch last night all by himself. He was pretty proud too, it was so cute.

He can find me if I go in the office and I have left him in the living room. Or he can find me in the bathroom too.. lovely. Its actually pretty cute hearing him crawl down the hall and then when he realized he's found me he has the BIGGEST grin.

He has developed this funny sense of humor. you can hear me at the end of the video saying "what does a pig say? "oink" "oink"" and he laughs. Last night he was in hysterics laughing about the oink/snort

he can sit up on his own and is pretty good about catching himself if he tips so he doesnt smash his head. And he can push himself up off the floor into the sitting position.

And he's really good at picking up food with his fingers to eat. And he still just has 5 teeth :)

Our schedule at the moment is:
wake up 7:30-8:00 and breast feed
(8:30)hang out in bed with daddy till he goes to work
(9-10)hand out in the exersaucer with some cereal and watch sesame street
have a morning nap,
wake up have lunch,
have a feeding at 2 or 3
one more afternoon nap
wake up and hang out till dad gets home
and dinner and play time till
8:30-9 bed time.

Kenron's top three teeth have busted through all in a matter of days. On Nov. 23rd his first top right came through, then thanksgiving day his second popped through and then saturday the 6th the third (second to the right) came through.. no wonder he hasnt been sleeping good!

He is getting REALLY good at moving around. I left him by the couches in the living room.. and this is where I found him.. playing with the milk container. He's crawling with his toes (not his knees), and forearm over forearm.. its pretty cute.

This is also my new trick to spend more time on the computer.. Kenron "types" on his keyboard and I get to spend a little more time "cruisin the interweb"

It snowed! it was just a dusting, but it was Kenron's first official snow, so I had to document :)

Second, we love this bath seat! We got an excellent tip from reagan's parents at church that they bought this for him and they liked it a lot.
Its the aquababy bath seat he had a great time splashing.. he couldnt do that in his other seat.. we love it :)

To President Elect Obama, I didnt vote for you, but I'm glad you won. It made me feel good as an American. The significance wasnt lost on me, even though I dont agree with your politics.

Third:
My hateful, dreaded, pain in my a$$ "time of the month" has returned. I informed Mat of this and this is what he says:
"Your a woman again!" as if birthing his child and breastfeeding wasnt "ladylike" but I laughed just the same. Good old birdie, you never cease to surprise me with your quick wit.

Fourth:
Thank you God for the overwhelming Joy the fall and christmas season bring to my soul. 2006 was rough. Last year and this year have been so healing to my heart, that when I put up Isaac and David's christmas ornaments I was able to smile. Thank you for the healing you brought when you gave us Kenron.
You are faithful God and I will be eternally grateful.

Every month it seems impossible that he's already a month older.

Ok this is what Kenron is upto lately...
CRAWLING! ok its an army crawl but its movin!

Wavin "HI!" - He can do it, he just hasnt mastered when he's SUPPOSED to do it. He does it the best right at the end of the video, wave + "hi"

-He is a wiggle worm
-He likes to grab at everything
-He loves his exersaucer

-He LOVES bread: bread sticks, toast, pizza crust...
-He can pick up his little snacks but hasnt mastered getting them in his mouth yet.
-He can sit up with out help, but is still too wobbly to sit with out supervision (or pillows)
-He doesnt like green beans.
-He likes almost everything else to eat.
-He is still the wonderfully happy baby he's always been.

and last but not least:

-He has cut his THIRD tooth. Top right. But I have no doubt the Top left will be coming in anyday now.. yikes.

Have I told you lately.. that I love coupons?

I got all this stuff for about $15

Homeland, our grocery store doubles coupons upto $1, which means if you have a dollar off coupon, its 2 dollars off. EXCELLENT!

I started clipping coupons in sept. because Missy-O taught me how to do the CVS thing. You get CVS money if you buy certain products and then you use the CVS money to buy more products that earn more CVS money. So you basically get stuff for FREE! its been fun.

You inevitably are buying stuff you dont need.. but Missy-O reminded me that I can donate the extra to our church's pantry. It is free after all.. why not!

So thanks Mel. I've enjoyed saving money. The best part is I actually impressed Mat, that is worth millions :) hehe

Mathis Visit

The Mathis's - Shea, Morgan, Gabriel, and Charis all came for one final visit before heading out to FL.
We had so much fun, it was hard when they left, knowing this was the last visit for a long time.

I loved getting together with everyone and having them all over to our house. I havent made dinner and had people over in a LONG time. I need to get back in the habit of doing that.
Man, I hate that all my girlfriends are moving away.. stupid FL.. stupid Africa... I guess I just have to make new friends.. its so exausting though. Well at least I know these gals will be my friends forever. even if its long distance. I've done long distance. But I cant promise at the end of 5 years I wont want to marry you ;) haha
GOODBYE MATHIS FAMILY WE'LL MISS YOU.. terribly.

First time sittin up in the bath...

Believe it or not this was the first time (11-07-08) that I switched his tub into a seat and he got to sit up for his bath, he's just getting to tall!
It didnt work so great, so I'm on the look out for a good tub seat to transition from baby bath to being able to sit on his own in the bath.

I am open for any an all suggestions.

Here is the first time in his seat.
Here's the last time. He's really strong and can sit right up straight in the seat, so it was time to pack it up for the next baby.
Man, it doesnt even look like the same kid! Kenron you are growing up so fast.

Evey's costume was just as cool if not Better than ours.. GOOD JOB ONAWA!
Evey was not fooled at all by Mat's costume, she saw him from down the hall and yelled "MAT!" What a smart cookie she is.

Knock Knock Night

We ruled Knock Knock night at church! Doesn't Mat look great? I couldnt have done it without shannon.. she helped a TON. We had so much fun, I loved seeing the kids reactions. Happy Halloween!

Trunk or Treat!

Evey invited us to her school to go Trunk or Treating.. Holy Cow was it COLD!!!
Squishy face!
Dorthy was a bit cold too!
But still so cute!

Kenron was a hotdog and he was nice and warm.. Mat and I took turns holding him to keep US warm :)

Then we went out to eat, it was much warmer in there.
